In the "good ol days", "being deceived was not what it is today. When a time much of our personal information, name, address, bank account number, social security number, you can find online it is important to learn to wait and be aware of financial fraudsters.

Everyone is a potential target, target often considered elderly are "easier" than some of the objectives, as the generation that grew up with technology as those aged between 20 and 30 years on did. Not understanding what is normal and acceptable versus what is not devastating situations can lead to identity theft.

To avoid being scammed, you should be constantly on the lookout for suspicious situations such as:

Phishing e-mails. It is not uncommon to get an e-mail of what may seem to be your bank or other person with access to sensitive personal information. These e-mails often ask you to provide login information, bank account numbers or other sensitive information, banking on the hope that you will not notice that it is done Do you say you are.

Of course, the share out the loan purpose is never received.

Another version of this would be in the form of a phone call from a "representative" of a company known computer says there is a problem with your computer. This will never be true.

Social media scam. Due to the type of social media, the virus can spread to all social networks incredibly fast. We all know that computers and smartphones can be hacked if we're not careful. But a family in Houston, Texas, learned this week that baby monitors can be hacked too - and unfortunately, they learned the hard way.

According to a report by ABC News, Mark and Lauren Gilbert used a baby monitor camera with watching his 2-year-old deaf. This past weekend, the team went to talk to the child with a European accent, launching a series of vile insults demanding awake. When Gilbert investigated the noise, the person at the other end of the screen began to attack with insults too.

"At that time I ran and unplugged and tried to understand what happened," said Marc Gilbert to ABC. "(I) could not see the boy. All I could do was listen to his voice and (that) he controlled the camera. "

Baby monitor in question, the Court concluded that Forbes Baby Monitor Foscam has remote monitoring capabilities of the Internet. It is believed that the prankster used this function to access the audio and video of the child.

In April, it was revealed at a security conference that the type of ownership of the Gilbert camera was actually very vulnerable to piracy. The problem: 20% of these devices can be accessed by entering the username "admin" with no password.

The news is really alarming, but there are steps you can take to protect yourself when using a similar device. Experts recommend not to expose a baby monitor with external networks, but if necessary, use a firewall to protect your device. And no matter what you do to protect your monitor with a password that is difficult to solve.

If you know or think you may be infected by a virus!

Here's what you can do: Détection deletion
Vérification
Update
Protection
Firewalls
Updating the operating system

If you know or think you may be infected by a virus, it must be dealt with as quickly as possible because the infection may invite other infections on your PC and your system may crash (It is annoying not being able to use PC because of a Windows crashed). In addition, there are infections such as MSN infections where the virus sends himself to your contacts by sending a link on MSN so you may infect other PCs without purpose. Imagine also that the infection you infect your USB drive and you pay your USB key to a contact, your contact may infect your PC and so on.

Have a virus scan "online" (requires Internet Explorer with ActiveX allowed), for example:

Carefully note the name of the virus and the name (s) (s) / file (s) infected (s) but do not choose to eliminate the virus because some infections infect Windows files and so if you delete the file infected Windows, you may crash the system.
Go Secuser which contains a list of small, specialized utilities in removing a virus.
Look for one that applies to you, if any, download it and run it.
If there is no utility disinfection specializes in the removal of your virus, read this tip.

In all cases, when you have everything finished, restart your computer and iron an antivirus shot online.
Update your antivirus resident (or install one if it is not already some free antivirus: which one to choose Free Antivirus)

Because these to infiltrate the network, installing a personal firewall is more than possible, even essential!
Firewalls ZoneAlarm et Kerio Personal Firewall are free, easy to use

Some viruses (worms) exploit vulnerabilities in applications or operating system, so it is essential to regularly update (whenever possible). For Windows, it is Windows Update
